Looking for gloves that can be worn when working in cold storage? Or do you need something that will protect your staff when they are changing out steam table pans in the serving line? Finding the right glove for the task in foodservice is critical to reduce the risk of on the job accidents and protect your staff. We carry a variety of gloves specific to the needs of the foodservice operation. Following are the gloves most often requested by our customers:

Insulated Gloves – when you are working in cold storage for extended periods of time, it is important to wear all the right protective insulated gear that is appropriate for the work. This includes insulated work gloves that allow you to easily handle crates, boxes, food containers and protects your hands from cold. We recommend Induradex Leather Gloves from Refrigiwear. These gloves protect your hands to -10 degrees Fahrenheit with fiberfill insulation and fleeced lining for maximum cold protection. The rugged pigskin is highly durable and these gloves may also be used as an outdoor insulated work glove.

Frozen Food Gloves – these gloves are ideal for handling frozen food boxes and dry ice. The exterior of the Frozen Food Gloves from Chef Revival is a grippy surface that makes it easy to handle and grip frozen or ice surfaces and they feature a knit cuff for a tighter fit around the wrist to keep the cold out and make it easy to put on or take off. A flexible foam insulated lining keeps hands warm in temperatures as low as 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

Neoprene Dishwashing Glove – these durable and flexible Neoprene Dishwashing Gloves from Chef Revival offer you heat protection up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit from hot water as well as steam. Great as a dishwashing glove, these are also an ideal solution for staff to wear when changing steam table pans or food pans that are in a wet steam table as they will protect the user from the risk of burns from hot steam. The 17” length keeps the wrist, hands and forearm protected.

Steam Glove – For even greater protection from hot liquids or steam, the Tucker Safety SteamGlove features Steam Guard, which can withstand oven range temperatures and even hot oil without melting. These gloves protect users from the risk of burns up to 225 degrees Fahrenheit. They also feature a rough textured exterior that enables the user to get a good grip, even on slippery, wet or oily surfaces. They also offer abrasion, puncture and cut resistance. The 20” length offers protection to the forearm and you can find these in medium, large and extra-large sizes.

Cut Glove – Did you know that one of the most common kitchen injuries is from slicing a bagel? You can provide staff protection from slicing and cutting injuries by having a cut-resistant glove available. These gloves are made of high performance fibers that offer protection from sharp edges of commercial cutlery. They are machine washable, usually ambidextrous because only one is needed, and an easy way to reduce kitchen accidents.

Dishwashing Gloves – Dishwashing gloves offer protection from hot wash water, rough edges on pots and pans and dirt and grime. A good pair of dishwashing gloves will be long enough to protect the hands and forearms. Dishwashing gloves also help grip slick, wet dishware to help prevent accidents from drops in the kitchen.

We offer all of the gloves mentioned above and many more including disposable gloves. If you need assistance to be sure you’re finding the right gloves for your different foodservice tasks, give us a call and we will be happy to assist you.
