  • Toaster crumbs and debris are the equivalent of lint buildup in your washing machine. Crumbs and other food waste can dry out inside your toaster over time, causing a fire hazard. If your toaster hasn't been cleaned in a while, you'll also probably notice an awful burning odor every time you use it. Today we are going to take a look at how to properly clean a commercial toaster oven.

    • Switch off the conveyor toaster and make sure it is completely cool before cleaning

    • Wipe the outside of the stainless steel with a moist towel every day. With a stainless-steel cleaner, you can remove difficult stains. Avoid using Abrasive cleaners or pads as they can damage the finish and produce microscopic ruts where dirt can collect

    • Use a small brush and mild soap to clean hard-to-reach areas

    • Clean the crumb tray and toast collector pans with soap and water after removal. Rinse them thoroughly and air-dry the tray and collector pans

    • Disconnect the toast feeder ramp and wipe it clean with a moist cloth

    • Weekly, inspect air vents for dust and other debris to maintain and clean as needed. This prevents the device from overheating and shutting down
