The Tucker Safety 55120 12" Oven Mitt is a durable puppet-style oven mitt designed for commercial kitchen applications where protection from heat, liquids, grease, steam, and vapors is essential. Its ergonomic thumb-over-palm design provides ease of use when handling sheet pans and roasting pans, while the poly-cotton outer shell delivers durable performance through repeated washings without losing its protective qualities. The integrated VaporGuard® barrier helps protect against hot liquids, grease, steam, and vapors, making this oven mitt suitable for demanding cooking environments.
Inside, the Tucker BurnGuard® mitt features a sewn-in 100% cotton terry liner for insulation, with a rated temperature protection of up to 450°F (232°C) at the palm area. The cotton terry insulation is scoured, tumble dried, and heat set to minimize shrinkage, while the outer shell is permanently bonded with a flame-resistant liquid and vapor barrier. The barrier maintains its protective qualities even when exposed to 500°F (260°C) for 24 continuous hours. This medium-size oven mitt is suited for use with combi and convection ovens, kitchen ranges, steamers, and advanced cooking equipment including microwave, convection, and induction applications. The mitt is CE and NSF certified and can be machine washed in warm water with mild detergent or soap.
