The Hobart 84186 Food Cutter is a heavy-duty commercial food cutter built for high-volume institutional kitchens that need reliable, uniform chopping of salads, spreads, breadcrumbs, meats, and other prep-heavy ingredients. With a 15-pound capacity, an 18" stainless steel bowl, and a 1 HP motor, the 84186 handles the most demanding daily operations across K-12 cafeterias, healthcare foodservice, correctional facilities, and full-service restaurants.
The 84186 pairs a horizontally rotating bowl (20 RPM) with a vertically rotating double cutlery-grade stainless steel knife assembly (1725 RPM) to incorporate ingredients evenly and produce a consistent particle size cut after cut. A bowl cover interlock ensures the machine cannot start until the cover is locked in position and the cover cannot be raised while the switch is on, keeping operators safe during production. Configurations are available with or without an attachment hub, which accepts the Hobart Vegetable Slicer and Meat Chopper Attachment (compatible with all Hobart No. 12 attachments) to extend the machine's prep versatility from a single footprint.
