Cleveland PEM242 Electric Heated Boiler Pressure Steamer
The Cleveland PEM242 Pressure Steamer is a commercial 2-compartment pressure steamer designed for high-volume foodservice operations requiring controlled steam cooking and dependable production. It features a cabinet-mounted electric steam generator with a 15 PSI boiler and provides 5 PSI operating pressure in each cooking compartment. Each compartment includes a mechanical 60-minute timer with audible signal, a heavy-duty free-floating cast aluminum door, and a mechanical interlock that prevents the door from being unlatched while the compartment is pressurized. Synchronous steam inlet and exhaust valves help manage compartment operation, while thermostatic traps automatically vent each cooking compartment.
Built for demanding commercial kitchens, the Cleveland PEM242 pressure steamer features Type 430 stainless steel construction for the external enclosure and cooking compartments, along with removable slide racks for easier cleaning. Each compartment accommodates up to eight 12" x 20" x 2 1/2" cafeteria pans or four 18" x 26" bun pans. The electric steam generator provides automatic water fill on startup and automatic water level control with a low-water power cutoff. A high-limit pressure safety switch, safety valve, automatic boiler blowdown, and additional manual drain valve support safe and practical operation. The unit measures 36" W x 33.5" D and uses a 208-240 V, 60 Hz, 3-phase electrical connection.
