Cleveland Range MKDL80T Direct Kettle/Mixer
The Cleveland Range MKDL80T Direct Kettle/Mixer is an 80-gallon floor-model direct steam mixer kettle designed for high-volume commercial food preparation and batch processing. Its 2/3 steam-jacketed design uses direct steam heating to provide efficient heat transfer for soups, sauces, gravies, fillings, and other prepared foods. The 80-gallon kettle features a 316 stainless steel interior suitable for applications involving high-acid food products, while stainless steel consoles enclose the plumbing, electrical components, and hydraulic systems. The hydraulic-powered agitator, scraper, and bridge lift provide controlled product movement during mixing, while the manual tilt mechanism supports batch discharge and handling.
The MKDL80T incorporates Cleveland's Sweep/Fold mixing configuration with variable scraper speed and an adjustable scraper-to-agitator ratio for controlled mixing performance. Removable scraper blades are designed to scrape the jacketed surface, and the agitator and scraper are bayonet-mounted for removal. A safety device prevents high-speed starts and stops mixing when the bridge is lifted. The kettle includes a large pouring lip, gallon markings on the scraper shaft, a two-piece cover, and an air-operated 3-inch flush piston discharge valve with variable control. An automatic water meter, hot and cold water faucet, and automatic and manual water cooling further support batch preparation and cooling operations. The MKDL80T has a 50 PSI steam jacket rating for this 80-gallon model.
