The Cleveland KGL40TSH Gas Steam Kettle, Tilting is a 40-gallon commercial cooking kettle designed for foodservice operations that require efficient batch cooking and controlled heating. This short-series, full steam jacketed kettle features Type 304 stainless steel construction with a #4 finish on the kettle and supports. Its 50 psi steam jacket is permanently filled with treated, distilled water, eliminating the need for routine venting or refilling. A high-efficiency power burner heating system provides rapid heat-up and recovery, while the insulated heat exchanger helps support the heating system. The kettle is configured for natural gas operation and includes support legs with adjustable feet and flanges for floor bolting.
Built for controlled cooking and convenient product handling, the KGL40TSH uses solid-state controls for temperature and low-water safety in a plug-in control module. Its temperature control provides less than 1°C variance, making it suitable for applications requiring consistent cooking and simmering temperatures. LED indicators display the heat cycle and low-water warning, while the automatic ignition system simplifies burner operation. The tilting mechanism uses roller bearings with a case-hardened, self-locking worm and segment gear for controlled kettle positioning. A front-mounted combination pressure/vacuum gauge provides convenient monitoring of the steam jacket, and the 115-volt, 60 Hz, single-phase electrical system is supplied with a cord and plug.
