Cleveland KGL25: Gas Steam Kettles, Stationary
The Cleveland KGL25 Gas Steam Kettle is a stationary commercial cooking kettle designed for foodservice operations requiring controlled steam-jacketed heating. Its 2/3 steam-jacketed construction features Type 304 stainless steel throughout the kettle and supports, with a #4 finish. The permanently filled steam jacket uses treated, distilled water, so venting and refilling are not required. A 50 psi steam jacket rating supports the specified cooking system, while the insulated heat exchanger and power burner heating system provide the heating components for the kettle. The unit is configured for natural gas operation and includes an automatic ignition system for convenient startup.
The KGL25 features solid-state controls for temperature regulation and low-water safety, housed in a plug-in control module. The control system provides temperature control with less than 1°C variance, along with LED indicators for the heat cycle and low-water warning and a power ON/OFF switch. A front-mounted combination pressure/vacuum gauge allows pressure monitoring, while the 2-inch tangent draw-off valve with drain strainer facilitates product removal. The spring-assisted, hinged, rotatable, domed stainless steel cover provides access to the kettle interior. Standard electrical service is 115 volts, 60 Hz, single phase, supplied with a cord and plug.
