Cleveland KDL40 Direct Steam Kettle, Tri-leg
The Cleveland KDL40 Direct Steam Kettle is built for commercial kitchens that need reliable batch cooking and efficient steam heating. This 2/3 steam jacketed kettle is designed for direct connection to a steam source supplying 5 to 45 psi steam, making it suitable for preparing soups, sauces, gravies, stews, and other large-batch foods. The kettle features Type 304 stainless steel construction with a #4 finish on the kettle and supports, along with a 50 psi steam jacket rating and 50 psi chrome-plated safety valve. A steam control inlet valve provides access to the kettle’s steam supply, while the 2-inch tangent draw-off valve with drain strainer supports convenient product removal.
The Cleveland KDL40 includes a spring-assisted, domed, hinged, one-piece rotatable cover designed for convenient access during food preparation. Its heavy reinforced rolled rim adds durability around the kettle opening, while the insulated-handle condensate drain valve supports controlled draining. Depending on the selected configuration, the kettle can be installed with stainless steel tri-leg supports or a Type 304 stainless steel pedestal support. Tri-leg models feature 1 5/8-inch OD tubular supports with level-adjustable flanged feet for floor bolting, while pedestal models include a 3/4-inch thick floor plate and stainless steel collar for sealing. Available accessories include cooking baskets, gallon markings, faucets, cleaning tools, measuring strips, lift-off covers, and steam control kits.
