The Cleveland SteamChef 22CET63.1 is a stacked boilerless, connectionless electric convection steamer designed for commercial foodservice operations requiring flexible steam cooking without permanent water or drain connections. The two stacked compartments each accommodate up to six 2.5-inch full-size steam table pans measuring 12" x 20", providing a combined capacity of 12 pans. Each compartment features a 3-gallon water reservoir with manual water fill and drain, while a 4-inch-deep solid drain pan is required for proper operation. The 12 kW electric heating elements are cast into aluminum blocks for steam generation, and fan-forced convection with an exclusive baffle system promotes steam circulation throughout the cooking compartment.
The SteamChef 22CET63.1 incorporates KleanShield cavity protection to help prevent flavor transfer and foaming caused by contamination of the water reservoir, with a manual bypass plate for bypassing the system. A SureCook Load Compensating Thermostat helps maintain cooking performance under changing loads, while a standpipe safety overflow drain helps prevent water from overflowing the cooking compartment. Heavy-duty 14-gauge stainless steel construction provides durability, complemented by self-adjusting two-piece compartment doors with free-floating inner doors and reversible gaskets. The unit includes a high-temperature safety shutoff and reset button, 5-inch skid-resistant adjustable legs, and left-hand door hinging with controls positioned on the right.
