The Cleveland KGL60T Gas Steam Kettle, Tilting is a commercial cooking kettle designed for high-volume batch preparation where precise temperature control and efficient heating are important. This 2/3 steam-jacketed kettle features a Type 304 stainless steel construction with a #4 finish on the kettle and supports for a durable foodservice-ready design. Its 50 psi steam jacket rating supports higher cooking temperatures, while the high-efficiency Power Burner Heating System operates at 62% to 65% efficiency. The insulated heat exchanger contributes to efficient heating, and the 190,000 BTU firing rate provides fast heat-up and recovery for the 60-gallon model.
The Cleveland KGL60T provides controlled operation through solid-state temperature and low-water safety controls, infinite variable temperature adjustment, and a control panel designed to maintain temperature with less than 1°C variance. LED indicators display the heat cycle and low-water warning, while the automatic ignition system simplifies startup. The permanently filled steam jacket uses treated, distilled water and does not require routine venting or refilling. For controlled product transfer, the tilting mechanism uses roller bearings with a case-hardened, self-locking worm and segment gear. Level-adjustable support legs are flanged for floor bolting, and a front-mounted combination pressure/vacuum gauge provides jacket pressure monitoring. The standard electrical configuration is 115 volts, 60 Hz, single-phase with cord and plug, and the kettle is configured for natural gas operation.
