The Cleveland KGL40T 40 Gallon Gas Steam Kettle is a commercial tilting kettle designed for high-volume cooking applications that require controlled, consistent heating. Its 2/3 steam-jacketed design uses a high-efficiency Power Burner Heating System with an insulated heat exchanger to support fast heat-up and recovery. The kettle is constructed from Type 304 stainless steel with a #4 finish on the kettle and supports, providing a durable surface suited to demanding foodservice environments. A 50 psi steam jacket rating supports higher cooking temperatures, while the permanently filled treated-water jacket eliminates the need for routine venting or refilling.
Built for precise batch cooking, the Cleveland KGL40T features solid-state controls, infinite variable temperature control, and a control system designed to maintain temperature with less than 1°C variance. LED indicators provide visual notification of the heat cycle and low-water warning, while automatic ignition simplifies operation. The roller-bearing tilt mechanism uses a case-hardened self-locking worm and segment gear for controlled kettle tilting. Support legs include level-adjustable feet and are flanged for floor bolting. A front-mounted combination pressure/vacuum gauge provides jacket pressure information, and the standard electrical configuration is 115 volts, 60 Hz, single-phase with a cord and plug. The kettle is configured for natural gas operation.
