The Cleveland KGL40 40 Gallon Gas Steam Kettle is a commercial stationary cooking kettle designed for high-volume food preparation and batch cooking. Part of the Splash Proof Series, this 2/3 steam-jacketed kettle uses a high-efficiency Power Burner Heating System with a 140,000 BTU firing rate on 40-gallon models. The 50 psi steam jacket rating supports higher cooking temperatures, while the insulated heat exchanger and permanently filled steam jacket are designed for efficient, consistent heating. Standard natural gas operation and an automatic ignition system provide straightforward operation for commercial kitchens requiring a large-capacity gas steam kettle.
Built for controlled cooking performance, the Cleveland KGL40 features solid-state controls for temperature and low-water safety in a plug-in control module. Infinite variable temperature control provides precise adjustment, with temperature variance of less than 1°C for controlled cooking and simmering. LED indicators identify the heat cycle and low-water warning, while a front-mounted combination pressure/vacuum gauge provides jacket pressure monitoring. The Type 304 stainless steel kettle and supports feature a #4 finish for a durable commercial construction. A spring-assisted, hinged, rotatable domed stainless steel cover provides convenient access, and the 2-inch tangent draw-off valve with drain strainer facilitates product dispensing.
