Cleveland KEL40 Electric Steam Kettle
The Cleveland KEL40 Kettle is a stationary electric steam kettle designed for commercial foodservice operations requiring reliable batch cooking and precise temperature control. This self-contained, tri-leg mounted kettle features a 40-gallon (150-liter) capacity and a 2/3 steam-jacketed design rated at 50 psi (3.5 bar) for higher cooking temperatures. The kettle and supports are constructed from Type 304 stainless steel with a #4 finish for durability and easier cleaning. Its permanently filled steam jacket uses treated water and does not require routine venting or refilling. A large pouring lip accommodates high-capacity batches and chunky products, while the spring-assisted domed cover provides convenient access to the cooking vessel. The 1.50-inch freeboard above rated batches provides additional space during cooking.
The Cleveland KEL40 features splash-proof solid-state temperature and safety controls with less than ±1°C variance, making it suitable for applications requiring consistent temperature management. The plug-in control module includes adjustable temperature control, power, heat-cycle, and low-water LED indicators. The kettle operates from 145°–260°F (63°–127°C). A rear-mounted pressure gauge and 50 psi safety valve provide accessible pressure monitoring, while the solid-state water level control eliminates the need for a sight glass. Welded-in heating elements and a splash-proof element cover with a double gasket seal support the heating system. The 2-inch (50 mm) tangent draw-off valve provides a practical method for removing prepared product.
