    SHEET PAN CLEANING TECHNIQUES

Tired of looking at grimy sheet pans in your cabinets? Here are a few effective ways to scrub your sheet pans back to brand new again!

Method One: Baking Soda & Water

Start by grabbing a small bowl, you will want to make a paste with baking soda and a few tablespoons of water. Evenly spread the mixture over the surface of the dirty sheet pan, and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then, proceed to scrub away the dirt and grime off of the pan, using a nylon pad, sponge, or brush, until you’ve achieved your desired results. Lastly, you will want to wash the pan using warm water and dish soap.

Method Two: Baking Soda & White Vinegar

First, you will want to measure out a 1/1 ratio of baking soda and white vinegar. Begin to sprinkle baking soda over the dirty pan and pour the vinegar over the surface. Let the two products sit for a few minutes, while the chemicals start to react. In the meantime, start to fill up your sink with hot water and submerge the pan in the hot water for 30-60 minutes. After you’ve soaked the pan, use a nylon pad or steel wool to scrub away the grim to achieve your desired results. Once you’re done scrubbing, you will want to wash the pan once more, using soap and warm water.

Method Three: Baking Soda & Hydrogen Peroxide

Start by getting a 1/1 ratio of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to form a paste. Once the paste has formed, spread it evenly over the surface of the baking sheet and let it sit for a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 8 hours. Once you’re done letting the mixture sit, wipe the mixture off the baking sheet with a paper towel and water. Begin to scrub away any remaining grime with a nylon pad, sponge, or brush. Lastly, wash the pan with hot water and dish soap.

    Method Four: Hydrogen Peroxide

For this last method of cleaning start by applying rubber gloves, soak a paper towel or dishcloth with hydrogen peroxide. Begin by rubbing the cloth over the surface of the baking pan to saturate the surface, then lay the cloth flat on top of the pan to cover it. For larger pans, you may need to use multiple towels to cover the entire surface. You will then let the pan sit for a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 8 hours for extremely dirty pans. Once the pan is done sitting, remove the cloth and begin to scrub the pan in hot water, using a scouring pad to remove the remaining stains. Once you’re done scrubbing, wash the pan with hot soap and water.
