Stainless Steel Fry Pans
Stainless steel frying pans require very little maintenance and can be used for frying, searing, and browning foods. Traditionally, frying pans were made of cast iron, which is still popular today, but now most frying pans are made from metals such as aluminium or stainless steel. The surface of a stainless steel fry pan is typically coated with a layer of oil or fat when in use. This layer of oil lubricates the surface of the pan; increases contact between the food and the pan; acts as a thermal mass to reduce cooking time; and increases flavor and color.
